Our church services

We have two Sunday services:

9.45am - With worship band plus children and youth groups
11.15am - With hymns and songs

These are inspiring times of worship to lead us closer to the heart of God. The music at 9.45am is band-led with mainly contemporary worship songs, while the 11.15am service uses the Common Liturgy with hymns and "classic" Christian songs.

A staffed Crèche, Sunday Kids Clubs and a Youth Group run each week alongside the 9.45am service.

We use a modern translation of the Bible (NLT) at both services . Sermons are illustrated with video clips and PowerPoint. Every sermon is Bible-based with an emphasis on how God’s word can be applied to our lives today. Sermons often follow a theme linked to Small Group study material.

We celebrate Holy Communion at the 11.15am service on the first, second and fourth Sundays of each month, and at the 9.45am service on the third Sunday of the month.

Prayer ministry is available after each service if you would like someone to pray with you.

A time to meet

Between the services at 10.45am we serve coffee and tea (and usually home-made cakes too) in the church lounge. So please stay after the first service or come early for the second, so you can relax with refreshments, chat with church friends and make new ones.

Outdoor Church

In Summer our 10am service for all ages sometimes takes place outside – and usually with a bouncy castle!

It is often followed by a BBQ. Passers-by are welcome to join in the worship and fun as we witness openly to the love of Jesus.

11.15am Wednesday Midweek Communion

A quiet, reflective service of Holy Communion, with hymns is held each Wednesday at 11.15am in St Andrew’s chapel.

The words to songs and prayers are projected at the front - we don't use hymn or prayer books.

Sunday for Kids @
9.45am

Children and young people at
St Andrew's have lots of fun while
learning about Jesus and what

it means to be a Christian!

Our growing children's groups are known as SKIDS. They are led by Karin Rayner, our children and families worker, and Ed Stokes, our youth worker, with their teams.

There are regular events for children and their families during the year: a popular Summer Holiday Club, the ‘Light up the Dark’ alternative to Halloween, plus family movie afternoons, for example.

Contact Karin or Ed via the CONTACT page or click the photos below to visit the CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES page.
